Nutrition and Saftey
We are a nut-free facility that works with parents to ensure their children's dietary needs are met. We accommodate preferences, sensitivity, and allergies. Educators are aware of any child's allergy; allergy lists are posted in every room and recorded in binders. We Provide Breakfast, lunch and snacks per the Canada Food Guide requirements and the Alberta Nutrition Guidelines. Our menu is rotated every four weeks, and drinks are offered with every meal and snack. Drink options are water, milk, and occasionally fruit juice or chocolate milk.

With a passion for children, The owner's journey began as a nursery teacher, where she discovered her love for working with children and helping them learn and grow. Over the years, she has donned various roles, including being a day-home owner and childcare supervisor, honing her skills and expertise in providing children with a safe and enriching environment.
Her passion for education led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science Education with Honours. Her academic background has provided her with a strong foundation in child development and learning methodologies, enriching her approach to teaching and caring for children.
In July 2017, she fulfilled her dream of owning and managing her day home, creating a warm and welcoming space for children to thrive. She poured her heart and soul into this venture for over six years, shaping countless children's lives and positively impacting their early development.
In 2022, she noticed that the city of Cochrane was in dire need of childcare spaces and how many children were waitlisted in Cochrane. She decided to step in to offer her services by opening a new facility.
As a mother of three children, she understands the joys and challenges of parenting firsthand. This personal experience adds a compassionate touch to her interactions with parents, fostering open communication and trust.
With an unwavering commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment, she is a beacon of light for the children in her care, helping them build a solid foundation for a successful future. Her genuine love for children and extensive experience and educational background make her a valuable asset to any child's early learning journey.

Children learn through play, and our play-based and Montessori activities help to foster self-confidence, creativity, and trust. We will provide opportunities for children to explore, discover, create, and imagine using the Alberta Flight curriculum, which focuses on their individual interests with a combination of Montessori activities. Because the environment plays a significant role in a child's development, in our Montessori shelves, you will find a carefully prepared environment designed to foster independence and encourage children to engage with their surroundings actively. The materials and activities provided are specifically chosen to stimulate the child's curiosity and promote self-directed learning through play.
